Released last Friday, 'The Shaukeens' has performed decently well at the box-office. Collecting over 2.25 crores approximately on its first Wednesday, the film now stands at an overall total of 25.25 crores at the domestic box-office. This film happens to be a remake of the 1982 original 'Shaukeen'. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the star cast included Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Anupam Kher in leading roles. Super star Akshay Kumar was seen playing himself in an extended cameo in the film. 'The Shaukeens' received mixed reviews from the critics; some that found it entertaining and others who were of the opinion that remakes in Bollywood are not a good idea.
This week Shaad Ali's 'Kill Dil' is all geared up for release. Starring Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar in leading roles, this film will give us elements of romance and action. Govinda will be seen playing a villainous role in the film. Being a Yash Raj Film, it will be released on a wide scale and is expected to perform well at the box-office, given that the audience finds it appealing. 'Kill Dil' is expected collect around 30 crores on its opening weekend.
