Looks like Sonakshi Sinha's powerful kicks and punches have had an impressive impact at the box office. Touted to be Sonakshi Sinha's first female centric film, the movie seems to have clicked with the audience.
'Akira' made an opening collection of Rs. 5.15 crores on Friday. The film's opening is higher than Anushka Sharma's gritty thriller 'NH10' which had collected Rs. 3.35 crores. On the other hand Rani Mukherji's 'Mardaani' had grossed Rs. 3.46 crores on its opening day.
It needs to have if 'Akira' will further pick up business this weekend and will continue to race ahead as the next week see two big releases- Sidharth Malhotra-Katrina Kaif starrer 'Baar Baar Dekho' and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's 'Freaky Ali'.
