It's raining real-life inspired stories for Akshay Kumar! After 'Airlift' and 'Rustom', reportedly Akshay Kumar might be seen in a biopic on former ATS chief K.P Raghuvanshi.
According to PTI, renowned sreenwriter and lyricist Jalees Sherwani is penning the biopic and has been titled 'C 60'. Reportedly, the film is about a commando squad formed by K P Raghuvanshi to tackle Naxalism.
When asked about the biopic Jalees quoted, "Producer Manju Bharti wanted to make a film on KP Raghuvanshi and the force that he formed to combat Naxalism. She found the story quite intriguing." The filmmakers are still working on the script and the film might go on floors by the end of 2016.
Jalees is keen on casting Akshay for the film. He stated, "We haven't zeroed-in on any actor for the film yet. I think Akshay Kumar would be apt for the role of K P Raghuvanshi as he has that personality. We will take a decision regarding casting once the scripting is over."
K.P. Raghuvanshi, introduced an innovative concept of C-60 force to fight against the Naxalism. The lyricist said he had several meeting with the former ATS chief, "We have been having several discussions with Raghuvanshi. He has been of great help. Even though we are hearing the story from the horse's mouth, still it's a challenge to portray a personality like him (Raghuvanshi) on screen," he revealed.
He concluded by saying, "Besides the Naxal issue, the film will also have a romantic angle."
Let's wait and see if Akshay signs the dotted line.
