Way back in 1961, Shammi Kapoor sang 'Chahe Mujhe Koi Junglee Kahe' to Saira Banu in the snow-clad mountains and the crowd went crazy over them. Now almost 15 years later, it's Vidyut Jammwal's turn to go 'Junglee' and he has a family of elephants for company!
The handsome hunk has signed Rohan Sippy's action thriller 'Junglee' where he will be seen playing an animal lover who uncovers a poaching racket. The actor is quite kicked up about this film and said, "I am a huge animal lover and this is a great action thriller," he said, adding that since he heard the narration, he has been working with the team to create a new kind of action that no one in the world has seen yet. "There is a lot of research and planning involved with this aspect of the film."
The film will have some never seen before action scenes and more to it Sippy said, "I grew up before television arrived on the scene so the biggest treat for my friends and me was when my dad (Ramesh Sippy) would bring a projector home and screen Haathi Mere Saathi for us. That is one film I watched on every birthday for at least three-four years. And that's what triggered off the idea of Junglee."
We further hear that the film-maker plans to shoot with an actual elephant, but as with Jungle Book and the 3D battle sequences in Game of Thrones, technology will play a role in making the shoot easy and the film larger-than-life."
'Junglee' is scheduled to go on floors early next year.
