After wrapping up certain portions of Shankar's '2.0' in New Delhi, Akshay Kumar is back filming for Neeraj Pandey's romantic thriller 'Rustom'.
Recently the khiladi travelled to Pune with his leading lady where they shot at Deccan College in Yerawada, parts ofg which were set up to look like a Mumbai civil court from the 50s, complete with Ambassador taxis in the parking lot.
We came across a picture doing rounds on the social media where one can see Akshay dressed in white whereas his co-star looks almost unrecognisable in a beige sari and a '50s hairdo.
Buzz is that 'Rustom' is loosely inspired by 1959 Nanavati case where naval officer Kavas Maneckshaw Nanavati was tried for the murder of his wife’s lover, Prem Ahuja. Incidently Akshay too plays a Parsi character named Rustom Pawri.
In the sensational Nanavati case, the officer had fired three shots at Ahuja and then surrendered himself to police.
Helmed by débutante director Suresh Tinu Desai, 'Rustom' also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta. The film is slated to release on 12th August 2016.
