Ever since the Censor Board has released the list of banned words in the films, there has been lot of noise about it. While some of them have agreed to the decision, many have expressed their disagreement over the list.
The latest film to get affected by the Censor’s new list of banned words is Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’. The film which opened to rave reviews and positive word of mouth had to replace four apparent cuss words in the film and also mute the word ‘lesbian’.
In the movie, there had been use of words like ghanta, haramipana, haram ke pille and haramkhor. These words were made to replace with thenga, chichoripana, galli ke pille and kathor respectively. The Censor Board also asked the makers to mute the word ‘lesbian’ which was being used in a scene where the film’s lead protagonist Sandhya is interacting with the lawyer.
