If sources are to be believed then two of the most awaited films of 2017 might lock horns at the box office.
S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion, which is the sequel to the highly popular first film Baahubali: The Beginnning has been slated to release on 14 April. While the makers of the film made the release announcement earlier in March, it has now been revealed that Shankar's 2.0, starring Rajinikanth (the sequel to Robot) will hit the theatrical screens on the same day.
According to a DNA report, trade experts had expected the makers of 2.0 to avoid releasing their film on the date, which is the Tamil New Year as well as Good Friday. However, nothing of the sort is happening.
Further it quoted a source from the crew of '2.0' adding, "Why not? The mother language of 'Baahubali' is Telugu while 'Robot' is in Tamil. The clash will not be headlong. And it’s a long weekend, beginning 14 April. Long enough to accommodate two big films."
'Baahubali: The Beginning' had broken all records at the box office creating curiosity among the audience to see how the film unfolds in the sequel. On the other hand Rajinikanth is joined by Bollywood's khiladi, Akshay Kumar this time for '2.0'.
Which sequel are you guys looking more forward to?
