Writer-filmmaker Rohit Jugraj Chauhan who has Punjabi blockbuster comedies like 'Jatt James Bond' and 'Sardaar Ji' to his credit has been roped in Sanjay Dutt for his upcoming period action-comedy flick.
The movie set in the 17th century Punjab is touted to have high-voltage action, generous doses of comedy and will be co-produced by Dutt. Rohit confirmed the news and was quoted as saying to a leading tabloid, "The best way to describe it would be to call it a 'Zack Snyder meets Raju Hirani' kind of film. The film is set in the 1800s and will be shot entirely in Punjab."
He further added, "Dutt saab and I had been planning a film for the last couple of years. He has seen my work and appreciated the humour. Being one of his greatest fans, I always wanted to present his bravado in a film that was worthy of him."
The script and title of the film has been locked and the movie is said to hit the shooting floors in January 2017.
Currently Sanjay Dutt is prepping up for Sidharth Anand's action flick which will roll in a couple of months.
