It is war for the lead cast of the movie Piku! India's no.1 actress, the beautiful and versatile Deepika Padukone is an ace Badminton player just like her father, Prakash Padukone. The state level Badminton Champ indulges in the game as and when she gets time from her busy schedule. And that is exactly what she did on the sets of Shoojit Sircar's family comedy drama Piku.
Only this time Deepika Padukone found a rather worthy opponent in her co-star the multitalented National Award winning actor, Irrfan Khan. An insider present on the sets revealed “They were sitting together one day and Irrfan asked Deepika if she would play a game of badminton since he saw some racquets lying around. Ever since then, the two have been hooked to the sport. Whenever they get a few minutes off from work, they head to play outâ€.
The source further added that what started out as friendly games soon turned into a competition of sorts between them. The talented actors also started keeping a count of the games they won and lost. Actor Irrfan Khan confirmed saying “I had to play better than Deepika and you must understand that it was a real task. I have asked her to give me some time [to prepare] so we can have a proper a match soonâ€.
Must say, this is one match that all of us will be keenly waiting to watch.
Piku' is a roller coaster ride of a crazy father-daughter relationship essayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone with Irrfan Khan top lining the cast, in a pivotal author backed role.
