Sriram Raghavan who last made the critically acclaimed 'Badlapur' is currently working on the film adaptation of Vikas Swarup's 'The Accidental Apprentice'. The director says that he would love to have Deepika Padukone onboard the project.
Sriram told PTI, "I have not finalised her (Deepika) yet but we would love to work with her. I have just met her and sounded her the idea. She is a talented actress and we would like to work with her. But till I don’t finish my script I can’t talk about it (casting)."
Further the director plans to rope in a star instead of a newcomer as that is the requirement of his film. Sriram is yet to finish writing the script. Once he is done with it then he will show the script to Vikas Swarup for his feedback.
Deepika will be next seen in Imtiaz Ali's 'Tamasha' and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Bajirao Mastani'.
