Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku' is working wonders at the box office and remains a favourite with the viewers. In fact, the film is performing better than the new released 'Bombay Velvet'. All thanks to the positive word-of-mouth that it received along with rave reviews from the critics.
'Piku' collected Rs 3.10 crores on Friday, Rs 5.10 crores on Saturday and Rs 6.40 crores on Sunday. The grand total collection is Rs 56.02 crores. The film has crossed the 50 crore-mark and had the 'highest second weekend' of 2015.
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, 'Piku' is a family entertainer that revolves around a quirky father-daughter relationship portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone with Irrfan Khan toplining the cast in a pivotal role.
