After churning out several blockbusters like 'Aashiqui 2', 'Ek Villain' in the past, Mohit Suri is back with a heart-wrenching tale again. The director whose 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' is one of the most awaited films of this year, believes in achieving perfection.
Recently, for a scene in the film, Mohit wanted to capture a sandstorm shot and use it as a metaphor for the impending trouble brewing between the romance of Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan's character in the film.
Mohit, who was shooting in the UAE, had a very small window to shoot this sequence before the sandstorm lashed on. However, on the given day the calculations went all haywire as the weather became extreme and he was advised to not shoot. Emraan and Vidya stepped up and told the director that they don't mind trying to get the shot before the sandstorm trapped them. And when Mohit said action, the scene was taken in just one shot! The cast and crew made it to the hotel and in safety just in time. And the shot is part of the film as Mohit wanted it to be - a metaphor signifying the impending trouble coming in their relationship.
Wow! Now that's what we call some hard-core dedication!
Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' stars Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkumar Rao. The film is slated to hit the big screens on 12th July.
