After making it through the weekend, the results of the films' first Monday at the box-office are out. While Finding Fanny has been doing consistently well making a total of 22.4 crores nett, Creature 3D proves as a box office dud collecting just 11.34 crores on its first Monday at the box-office.
It seems like Finding Fanny pleased the multiplex audiences and increased revenue because of positive reviews through word of mouth. Homi Adajania managed to succeed in his efforts of offering the audience a different mix of cinema, one that has proven itself at the box-office. The film stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia , Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur in pivotal roles. 'Finding Fanny' depicts a story that follows the lives of five eccentric characters that set out on a road trip in search of a woman named Fanny a.ka. Stephanie Fernandes. While a few critics termed this film as 'appropriate for niche audiences only' and predicted that the film would suffer at the box-office, the revenue collections state otherwise.
Vikram Bhatt who intended to give the audience an answer to international creature films, faced flak from the audience and also suffered at the box office.
