Haider's Box Office Collection

Haider's Box Office Collection

After having a head on collision with the Hrithik-Katrina starrer Bang Bang, Shahid's Haider has managed to collect roughly 51 crores at the box office.

An unexpected drop was observed in its second week, the film's collection was calculated on the second Monday and it summed up to 51.03 crores at the domestic box office.

The movie starred Shahid Kapoor in what was argualbly his finest performance, Tabu, Kay Kay Menon who was last seen in Raja Natwarlal, Shraddha Kapoor of Aashiqui 2 fame and Irrfan Khan in a guest appearance in the movie. The story is based in Kashmir and refers to true incidents that took place in 1995.

Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider which happens to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's play 'Hamlet' has earned fairly under the circumstances. It was made on a moderate budget with having a decent star cast and went up against one of the most awaited movies in Bang Bang, which was the official remake of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz starrer 'Knight and Day'.
