Director Kabir Khan recently stated that Saif Ali Khan is a combination of both a star as well as an actor. And we couldn’t agree more to him!
Saif, who turns 45 today, started his career with the Yash Chopra-movie ‘Parampara’ and found success in the industry playing the second lead to the main actor! However, it was after his adorable Sameer in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ that the actor was taken seriously by all.
And what followed next was his first movie as a solo hero- ‘Hum Tum’; for which he came home with the National Award for Best Actor! If a villain can make you fall in love with his acting, then Saif Ali Khan did that graciously as the rugged Langda Tyagi in ‘Omkara’.
From action to comedy, from romantic roles to negative roles- the Nawab of Hindi Cinema has done it all; and that is the reason we call him the most versatile actor of Bollywood!
Even though he has had a spate of flop films in recent times, nothing stops good talent and we are very much hopeful that he would bounce back to his position with the upcoming ‘Phantom’ and make us all say – “WOW”
