Happy New Year continues to impress with second weekend collections

Shahrukh Khan starrer 'Happy New Year' proved its worth with box-office numbers that continue to increase after the second weekend of its release. The film collected over 20.25 crores at the end of its second weekend, making the films overall total amount to 154 cores nett at the domestic box-office. After breaking records on its opening day with collections of 44.97 crores, it was expected that the film will perform at the same rate in the days to come.


The masses seemed to find the film entertaining and so 'Happy New Year' is expected to continue earning through the third week. Directed by Farah Khan, this film has an ensemble star cast including Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff and Vivaan Shah.


Even though critics showed their dislike towards this film, the Indian audience clearly is in full support of this masala entertainer. 'Happy New Year' has proven that Bollywood lovers still love films that are high on the entertainment quotient.
