Aamir Khan is currently busy shooting in Punjab for Nitesh Tiwari's 'Dangal'. To get into the skin of his character, the 'PK' star has also been working out in the local akhadas.
Recently, some local wrestlers presented a special golden gadaa to Aamir Khan while he was shooting in Ludhiana. The film's spokesperson confirmed this news and said, “The team has brought in real local pehelwans and wrestlers for the film, and after the day’s shoot, they got together and presented a gadaa to Aamir.”
Gadaa is the main weapon of Lord Hanuman, who is worshipped by all the akhada wrestlers and pehelwans in India for his strength. The team of local pehelwans thought Gadda would be a perfect memorabilia to present the actor with, as he also plays a wrestler in the film.
'Dangal' is a film based on the life of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters who are wrestlers too. It is slated to release in Christmas 2016.
