Congress leader and former foreign minister of India, Salman Khurshid and German ambassador, Michael Steiner recently made their acting debut in a spoof of Shah Rukh-Saif Ali Khan's hit film 'Kal Ho Na Ho'.
The video titled 'Le Zetzt' which means 'Kal Ho Na Ho' in German was shot in the capital and stars Michael Steiner as Shah Rukh Khan whereas his wife, Eliese essays the role of Preity Zinta. Salman Khurshid reprises the role of Saif Ali Khan. It was launched at the German embassy by Michael Steiner, actor Saif Ali Khan and his mother Sharmila Tagore and lyricist Javed Akhtar at the German embassy in New Delhi. More than 700 guests were mesmerised with this Indo-German tribute to Bollywood. The evening saw elite guests from the capital including ambassadors from other embassies as well as lawmakers.
Javed Akhtar who had written the title track of the film said, "This music video has proved my worst suspicions right; I`d always suspected that politicians and diplomats are actors, and now we have a documentary proof."
Shah Rukh Khan even tweeted about this video. He posted, "@karanjohar: @iamsrk you have to see this!!! https://youtu.be/0XK3BVXbVsU #KalHoNaaHo #eternalsong” Drat! They remade it already! Awesome job."
