Here’s a surprise for the fans of Ashutosh Gowariker, who have loved his larger-than-life movies with long durations- ‘Mohenjo Daro’ will be amongst the director’s second shortest film after the Deepak Tijori starrer ‘Pehla Nasha’!
While ‘Pehla Nasha' had a runtime of 130 minutes, 'Baazi' was 180 minutes long. And things took a turn after his ‘Lagaan’ which was 234 minutes long. Since then, the director stuck to making larger-than-life flicks with long duration; be it ‘Swades’ (210 minutes), ‘Jodha Akhbar’ (214 minutes), ‘What’s Your Rashee’ (213 minutes) or ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ (168 minutes).
But now, one hears that the period-drama ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which stars Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hegde, Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh, will be only 150 minutes long (2 Hours 30 Minutes).
While this would help in getting the film more shows in multiplexes, we hope this doesn’t affect the impact of the movie- in a bid to complete the story in less time!
