'I am not selfish' says Karan Johar

Filmmaker Karan Johar has done his bit of experimenting with making Bollywood films. He wanted to make a film that appealed to teenagers and so came 'Student of the Year'. This film marked the debut of three young talents Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. While many extended negative criticism towards the film and the new comers' performances, Karan Johar happens to believe that it was for the best.

In a recent interview Karan expressed his thoughts saying that even though the actors were not completely polished with their performance on-screen, he loved a certain sense of rawness that they brought to the film. He feels rather proud when told that the trio has given better performances in films after 'Student of the Year'. He feels extremely proud that they have worked with other filmmakers and grown to be better actors.

Karan Johar happens to be the producer of the upcoming film 'Ungli' which is scheduled for release on the 28th of November this year. Reports also state that the filmmaker is returning to direction with a forthcoming project which will star Aishwarya Rai, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in leading roles. However, these reports haven't been confirmed yet.
