Imran Khan, who was recently spotted at the Mumbai Film Festival where he apparently got booed, had a chat with the media about the roles Indian actors get in Hollywood movies.
We may be very proud about the fact after watching films like Amazing Spider-Man where you had Irrfan Khan playing a small but pivotal role, also in Life of Pi. Even Anil Kapoor has played a key role in movies like Slumdog Millionaire and a cameo in Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol. He was also spotted in the eighth season of the popular American TV series 24, which was later remade in India.
Though India is making progress, as more and more Indian actors are being seen in Hollywood movies, Imran Khan has a very different perspective about things. The actor commented "To be honest, I don't think Indian actors get good roles in Hollywood. You either get to be the hero's friend, the guy who owns the 7-Eleven (convenience store) on the corner", not did he end here but also added "The truth is there are no good roles for Indians in Hollywood. I am very happy here."
