Indian-origin music composer Ricky Kej has won a trophy at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards; which is certainly a proud moment for the entire nation.
The Bangalore-based talent had collaborated with South African flutist Wouter Kellerman to blend the ambiance and positivity of two different cultures into one album- Winds Of Samsara. At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards which took place in Los Angeles, the album won the Best New Age Music Album trophy.
On the other hand, another Indian to win a Grammy is Neela Vaswani, who won the trophy in Best Children's Album category for 'I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up For Education And Changed The World' audio book.
Hoping this encourages other talented and budding Indian music composers to dream bigger and create more and better music!
