Just In: Amitabh Bachchan-Farhan Akhtar's 'Wazir' gets a new release date!
Yes, you heard it right! Bejoy Nambiar's thriller 'Wazir' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar and Aditi Rao Hydari will now release on 8th January 2016.

Earlier the film was supposed to hit the theatrical screens on 4th December 2015. But it looks like the makers are in mood to clash with the sex comedy 'Mastizaade' and the erotic thriller 'Hate Story 3' which have the same release date. Also Rohit Shetty's multistarrer 'Dilwale' starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon is slated to release on 18th December along with 'Bajirao Mastani'. Both these films will majorly dominate at the box office. Hence 'Wazir' will have only two weeks for its box office collection. Thus it seems a wise decision on their maker's part to plan it as a January release.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted-

In 'Wazir', Big B plays paralysed chessmaster whereas Farhan Akhtar essays the role of a Anti-Terrorist Squad officer. It is for the first time, we will be seeing the duo together on the big screen. The film has cameo acts by Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham.
