Kalki Koechlin wins the Best Actress Award at New York Indian Film Festival

Kalki Koechlin's 'Margarita With A Straw' received several accolades and awards at various film festivals. After bagging the Best Feature Film Award at the recently concluded Washington, DC International Film Festival, the movie has added yet another feather to its hat.

Kalki Koechlin has bagged the Best Actress Award at New York Indian Film Festival.

For her role, she had attended a lot of workshops to get into the skin of her character. The film has been inspired by the real life story of director Shonali Bose's cousin, Malini Chib who too suffers from cerebral palsy.
