Looks like, Kangana Ranaut got her best ever birthday gift, yesterday, in the form of a National Award. The actress won the best actress award for 'Queen'. The film was about a girl, who after getting ditched by her fiance, goes for a foreign honeymoon trip alone. 'Queen' won several accolades from both, the audience and the film critics.
While speaking to a leading daily, Kangana said, "I was in a state of flux all morning. I could neither sit, nor stand nor shoot. My entire concentration had gone for a toss. I was wondering what to do with that piece of information I had heard over the phone. I kept wondering whether it was true, false or whether my ears were just ringing. Anyway, by noon messages came and then the reality of it all sunk in. Wow, what do I say? I'm happy, elated, over the moon and thank everyone who believed in me."

When asked about how she felt about winning the award, she further added, "Someone from my team told me that there were chances that I may win the National Award for Queen. Of course I didn't give it too much credence at that point because I did not know that the National Awards were due to be announced on Tuesday. Nor did I, in my wildest imagination, think I would be the lucky recipient of the award."
Actress Priyanka Chopra had even posted a congratulatory message for Kangana, on Twitter. Her tweet read, " I hate losing. But if I had to take a back seat to anyone this year it would be U #KanganaRanaut ! Congratulations!yay Queen!#SmallTownGirls."
