‘Khamoshiyan’ opens well at 1.92 crore, ‘Hawaizaada’ & ‘Rahasya’ are dull

Gurmeet Choudhary, Ali Fazal and Sapna Pabbi’s ‘Khamoshiyan’, directed by Karan Darra, has opened well to collect 1.92 crore nett on day one as the supernatural thriller made audiences enjoy the spook-fest. The film that has been made at a budget of 11 crore (including marketing) is on its way to become a hit already with satellite and music rights fetching 7.5 crore to the makers before release.

The first day collections of ‘Khamoshiyan’ is bigger than that of ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ which is a huge feat from complete newcomers in the industry.

Meanwhile, the other two releases of the week, Ayushmann Khurrana and Pallavi Sharda’s ‘Hawaizaada’ and Tisca Chopra, Kay Kay Menon’s ‘Rahasya’ were dull at the box office. While the initial reports suggest only 10-15% opening for ‘Hawaizaada’, ‘Rahasya’ is below average. However, the exact figures haven’t been released yet.
