Host turned actor Manish Paul, who was last seen tickling the funny bone in 'Mickey Virus', has been roped in to essay Farooq Sheikh's character in remake of 'Katha'.
According to reports, director Khalid Mohammad, who had earlier signed Sohum Shah for the role, has confirmed the news. He further revealed that he had emailed the film's script to Manish, who immediately agreed to do it and was taken on board for the film.
The film's cast and location has been finalized and it will be start-to-end schedule. 'Katha' remake is said to be wrapped up by mid-February.
Going with the film and his role, it would be interesting to see Manish in Farooq Sheikh's character.
The original 'Katha' starred Naseeruddin Shah, Deepti Naval and Farooq Sheikh in the lead role and was directed by Sai Paranjpe. The film was loosely based on the classical Indian folktale of the hare and the tortoise, providing the modern day interpretation of the same.
