Meenakshi Dixit rose to fame in Tollywood with special numbers in 'Dookudu' and 'Baadshah'. Now, the young actress is all set to take Bollywood by storm.
The gorgeous actress will make her foray in B-town with Kundan Shah’s directorial 'P se PM Tak' which is slated to hit the theatrical screens on 29th May 2015. Meenakshi will essays the role of a sex-worker named Kasturi and the film traces her journey to become the Prime Minister of the country.
Apparently, the role which is played by Meenakshi was earlier offered to Madhuri Dixit Nene who refused to play a sex-worker, reasons best known to the actress herself. So, the writer director of the cult hit 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro' roped in newbie Meenakshi Dixit.
A source close to the production team reveals,"Kundan Shah auditioned over 1000 women till he finally came across Meenakshi Dixit who bears an uncanny resemblance to Madhuri. He auditioned her for four days and she also went through an extensive workshop and he was finally convinced that she’s the best & apt choice for the role.”
We must say we cannot wait to catch a glimpse of Meenakshi Dixit on the silver screen!
