Looks like Tony D'Souza's 'Azhar' is in trouble. Buzz is that, Nimrat who was supposed to play the role of a lawyer in the flick has opted out of the project. The character plays an important part in the film and defends the cricketer in the match-fixing scandal.
Nimrat Kaur said, "Yes I was approached to do 'Azhar' but I had never signed the film. It was one of those films I was considering. How can I walkout of a film I haven't even signed? Beyond that, I won't be able to tell anything else”.
'Azhar' written by Rajat Arora, is a biopic on the former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin. Emraan Hashmi plays the title character. Prachi Desai essays the role of his first wife, Naureen. Certain reports suggest that Nargis Fakhri has been roped in to play Sangeeta Bijlani.
Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and MSM Motion Pictures, the film is slated to release on 13rd May, 2016.
