There are rumours afloat in the tinsel town that after Salman Khan, his close friend Sanjay Dutt too has opted out of Karan Johar's 'Shuddhi' where he was to play the main antagonist.
According to a report published in a leading daily, Sanjay didn’t want to do a negative role immediately after coming out of jail. “He will start with OMG-Oh My God! director Umesh Shukla’s film in which he plays a hero,” says the report.
Karan Johar, however, has denied the story and said, “The role of the antagonist in Shuddhi is by far one of the best written anatagonist roles. We have never offered the role to Sanjay. We have yet to cast anyone.”
His ambitious project. 'Shuddhi' which will be directed by Karan Malhotra has been in the news for a long time, following constant changes in its star cast. From Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan to Salman—all were touted to be starring in the project.
However finally, the makers of the film revealed it's Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt who bagged the roles.
Sanjay Dutt had previously played the role of a villain in Karan Malhotra's 'Agneepath'.
