Shahid Kapoor's next 'Rangoon' is reportedly based against the backdrop of World War II. Since the actor is playing an army officer in the film we hear that he is taking Japanese lessons to get into the skin of his character.
As per a leading daily a source close to the actor was quoted as saying, "Shahid is spending a lot of time learning Japanese. It is known to be one of the most difficult languages, but Shahid is working hard. Since he is known to get into the skin of his characters, he is leaving no stone unturned for this role as well." The makers have even hired a tutor for him. The source further adds, "The tutor is present on the sets to help Shahid with his scenes. He has been teaching him the finer nuances of the language."
'Rangoon' has Kangana Ranaut playing a diva from the 40s while Saif Ali Khan essays the role of a film-maker. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj the film is slated to release this year.
