Releasing in over just 900 Screens, Finding Fanny saw a somewhat decent opening in the early morning shows. Considering the movie is mostly expected to target the Metros and Multiplex audiences, Finding Fanny is not going to be a box office blockbuster. Though the star cast of the movie is pretty decent featuring Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia in leading roles, the story it seems will only appeal the urban crowd. This also is the reason why the movie is releasing on such a low screen count.
Friday morning saw the movie doing somewhat decently well across Mumbai and Delhi. Since the movie is in English/Konkani language Mumbai should ideally be the biggest contributor to the box office collection of this movie. The movie is expected to see a rise in the late evening and night shows.
The other release this week, Creature 3D featuring Bipasha Basu is a horror flick and might do better at the Single Screens when compared to Multiplexes. However, considering the last few movies of Bipasha Basu could not do well at the Box Office, chances of Creature 3D putting up a decent total is scarce. The movie saw a pretty low footfall when compared to Finding Fanny in the early morning shows.
