There has been news going around B-town that ace director Rajkumar Hirani is going to announce a biopic on the life of good friend and actor, Sanjay Dutt. Dutt is currently in Yerawada jail, Pune serving a prison sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
It was reported that current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has agreed to play the actor in the film. In an interview he had also spoken about how interesting and challenging the role would be. IANS recently caught up with the director at the Mumbai Film Festival and this is what he had to say: "I'm here for MAMI (festival organisers Mumbai Academy of Moving Image), so please let's stick to this subject."
"I personally enjoy biopics, and I like the fact that Hollywood is making biopics on unknown people. It's great. Biopics are very fascinating, but not too many of them are being made here. I certainly find them fascinating, but I feel it's too early to announce about Sanjay Dutt's biopic.â€
Looks like the plans for such a movie are already underway and it could well be the 'Munnabhai' director's project after this December's 'P.K' starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt himself in a cameo.
