Rajkumar Rao is known to get into the skin of the character for his films. Be it 'Kai Po Che', 'Citylights' or the National Award winning 'Shahid', the actor has always stolen the show with his subtle yet powerful acting performances. Now, he is all set for Mohit Suri's upcoming 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' where he plays Vidya Balan's abusive husband.
For a particular scene in the film, Rajkumar had to run through the jungle distraught and he walked up to the director and said that he wants to run bare-feet. Mohit advised him against this as he ran the risk of injuring himself. But the actor was adamant. He explained that he is so emotionally distraught in the scene that the character shouldn't even care if he is wearing shoes or whether his feet is getting cut in the process. Rajkumar did the entire scene without wearing his shoes. He ran for about a kilometre during the course of the shoot. He did end up bruising his feet but such is the dedication of this man that after the shot, he walked up to Mohit asking if he would want to do another scene. Mohit told him that the scene was absolutely fabulous and that he was touched with his dedication.
Ask Mohit about this incident and he says, "I don't have words to describe Rajkumar as an actor. He touches the soul of every character and makes himself into the role. He is simply unbelievable in the film and his dedication is inspiring. One has to see his performance in the film to believe what he has done. I do not want to say any more."
Produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' stars Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkumar Rao and is slated to hit the big screens on 12th July.
