Shah Rukh Khan's gangster flick 'Raees' was to hit the silver screens with Salman Khan's 'Sultan' this Eid. However due to some reasons the release date of 'Raees' got pushed forward to 26th January 2017. But alas! another box-office clash was awaiting in the form of Hrithik Roshan's 'Kaabil' and Ajay Devgn- Emraan Hashmi's 'Baadshaho'.
Soon the makers of 'Baadshaho' revealed a new release date and now it was only 'Raees' vs 'Kaabil' at the box office. However the recent midnight meeting between Shah Rukh Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Rakesh Roshan at the Roshan residence in Juhu too couldn't avert the clash between both the films.
A leading daily quoted Rakesh Roshan saying, "We didn’t discuss the shifting of the release date. Shah Rukh called and said that we haven’t met for a long time so they came over. We were just sitting and chatting like old times. It was good to catch up as we have done many films together — I gave Shah Rukh a break in King Uncle, then Koylaa and Karan Arjun."
He further confirmed that he won't be pushing the release date of 'Kaabil' forward. Roshan Sr added, "What is there to change? We have announced the date earlier. But we are all friends and will sort it out."
Guess we will have to wait and watch to see what happens next!
