Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma's release Bombay Velvet might still be a few months away but the duo came together to support a charity event recently. The actors collaborated with a popular e-commerce website and will auction costumes from their films. The money collected from the same will be sent for the relief fund of Assam and Kashmir floods.
The items available on auction are Ranbir's iconic Kashmiri robe from the 2011 Imtiaz Ali film 'Rockstar' and Anushka's leather jacket in Yash Chopra's last directorial 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.
Both Anushka and Ranbir were extremely warm in supporting the cause. Kashmir and Ranbir's connection goes back to his biggest hits 'Rockstar' and even last year's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. Anushka, given her army background, has always kept true to her vein of supporting such causes.
According to a popular leading daily, she welled up while mentioning how heart wrenching both instances of floods are and considered herself fortunate enough to contribute in their little way towards the redevelopment of the flood inflicted states.
The two have been really busy on their respective professional fronts. Anushka has been busy promoting her upcoming film 'PK' and Ranbir recently began the second schedule of Imtiaz's 'Tamasha' in Shimla. The two still took out time for this cause close to their hearts.
