Raveena Tandon has walked out of Anurag Kashyap's much awaited and delayed 'Bombay Velvet'. She was reportedly unhappy with the way her role turned after the post-production and decided to walk out. She was essaying the role of a Jazz singer and marked her comeback into mainstream cinema after a long hiatus.
This could be the reason why it was reported in various sections of the media that the release of Kashyap's ambitious project has been further postponed from its May 15, 2015 release date.
The 'Ugly' director recently took to Twitter to squash all rumours regarding it and has clarified that the release date of the movie remains unchanged and will go ahead as scheduled.
The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead with Karan Johar making his full acting debut. The movie is based on Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables' and is set in 1960s Mumbai.
