After the success of her debut production 'NH10' Anushka Sharma's next from the home stable is 'Phillauri' which has her sharing screen space with Diljit Dosanjh and 'Life Of Pi' actor Suraj Sharma.
Recently in an interview to Bollywood Hungama Diljit spilled the beans about his role in the movie. He said, "I play a singer in the film but I am not that kind of a singer in real life. In fact I can never be like my character. But I guess everyone would identify with it. I can't live the life that my character in the film lives in real. The story is based in 1990 and my character in the film is that of a 'bindass' rockstar.
After playing a police officer in 'Udta Punjab' it would be quite interesting to see him in this new avatar.
Set in the backdrop of a Punjabi marriage Anushka had earlier revealed, "Phillauri’ has got shades of drama, craziness and really interesting characters. It is romantic, fun and at the same time very intriguing. The story is set in Phillaur district of Punjab." Further rumours suggest that she plays a ghost in the film.
'Phillauri' is slated to release on 31st March 2017.
