Rishi Kapoor is upset that the government has failed to recognize the contribution of his uncle, late actor Shammi Kapoor to the Indian cinema.
The veteran actor took to the microblogging site, Twitter to express his thought and tweeted, "Ponder. My only resentment is that Shammi Kapoor never got recognised by the government in his lifetime. Posthumously would be great but...."
The tweet came after his other uncle, Shashi Kapoor received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award at an event.
Shammi was popularly referred to as the 'Indian Elvis Presley' by his fans for his groovy dance moves. Known for films like 'Kashmir Ki Kali', 'Teesri Manzil', 'An Evening In Paris' and several others, the actor breathed his last on 14th August 2011 due to chronic renal failure.
