Reports of Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Chef’ getting delayed due to his hand injury on the sets of Akshat Verma’s ‘Kala Kaanti’ have been doing the rounds since a while.
However, we now hear that the delay in the movie is not because of the injury or because the Nawab of Pataudi wants to spend some time with his mom-to-be begum Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actual reason is something complete different…Or rather, let’s just say that there never was a delay!
According to Vikram Malhotra, producer of ‘Chef’, the shoot of the movie was always supposed to commence on 1st October! He further went on to add that Khan will start prepping for his role as a chef from 20th August with a 45-day workshop where he would get trained in the art of cooking, food presentation and plating.
‘Chef’ will be directed by Raja Menon of ‘Airlift’ fame, and the shoot will begin in South India. The film will be shot across the country at six to seven different cities.
Apart from ‘Kala Kaanti’ and ‘Chef’, Saif also has the Vishal Bhardwaj romantic-drama ‘Rangoon’ in the pipeline for a big release.
