Shahid Kapoor seems to be on a roll! While the actor is currently busy collecting awards for his spine chilling performance in Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider’, he is simultaneously also busy shooting for as good as three films.
After wrapping up Vikas Bahl’s ‘Shaandar’, Shahid Kapoor has started shooting for Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, which will be followed by Raj and DK’s ‘Farzi’. Interestingly ‘Farzi’ was supposed to go on floors by the end of 2014. However, reports started doing rounds that the movie got shelved. Contradicting the reports, the latest buzz doing the rounds is that the movie is back on track and the makers will soon start the pre-production stage of the film.
‘Farzi’ will also feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kriti Sanon.
According to a leading daily, Raj and DK revealed, “Our film ‘Farzi’ was initially to go on the floors at the end of 2014 but we were still working on the script. We recently finished the second draft and we still need two months before we go on the floors. By then, Shahid Kapoor will finish ‘Udta Punjab’, for which he has allotted three weeks. Eros is very much on board. In fact, from this month, Eros and our team have started working on the pre-production.”
‘Farzi’ will be a crime-thriller-drama. It will be co-produced by Eros International Media Ltd and Raj and DK's D2R Films.
