Shraddha Kapoor recently won an award for her singing in the the movie 'Ek Villain'. She sang the unplugged version of the hit song 'Galliyan' in which she played the female lead and was one of the chartbusters of 2014. She even sang a Kashmiri folk song in her next film 'Haider' which also received praise.
The young actress was formally recognized for her singing at a recently concluded music awards where she won Best Singer award.
Going up to the stage to collect her award moved Shraddha so much that it made her emotional. She dedicated the award to her mother present in the audience. Her mother hails from a musical background and therefore it meant really special to her.
When contacted Shraddha Kapoor shares, "It was a very emotional moment for me to get this kind of a recognition for one of my other passions; singing. It was all the more special as my mom sat there in the audience, beaming with pride."
