Priyanka Chopra is super-excited about her Hollywood stint. The actress who stars in the upcoming American TV show 'Quantico' has received rave reviews by the B-town as well as the audience.
And now we hear that Siddharth Mallya had first auditioned to play Priyanka's romantic interest but had failed to grab the role.
The statement was made by him during an interview where he said, “I had read up for the part of Priyanka’s lover but didn’t get the part because I guess they did not want two Indians opposite each other. I had earlier done a talent show with ABC, which is why I got to read for a lot of parts for their shows. 'Quantico' was by far their best”.
He further added, “I did not have the looks of a gangster thus missed the opportunity.”
Siddharth Mallya is presently pursuing acting course London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and will make his small screen debut with Steve Barron production.
Meanwhile, PeeCee, who will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar's ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, has essayed the role of a FBI agent, Alex Parrish, a half-Caucasian-half-Indian based in Quantico, Virginia in the TV series.
'Quantico' is about her journey as a fresh recruit to being the suspect of masterminding one of the biggest attacks on New York City after 9/11.
