Sidharth Malhotra is currently in Miami shooting for Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's next tentatively titled 'Reboot' where Jacqueline Fernandez plays his love interest. Apart from this movie the actor has also been roped in for yet another interesting project- the remake of B.R Chopra's iconic thriller 'Ittefaq' to be helmed by his grandson Abhay Chopra. The film is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Abhay's brother Kapil.
Recently when the young lad was asked about why he chose to be a part of this film he was quoted as saying, "I am really excited to work on this project. The script is brilliant and it will be a new screen character for me."
The original flick starred Rajesh Khanna, Nanda and Sujit Kumar. 'Ittefaq' was a remake of the British film, 'Signpost to Murder' (1964), starring Joanne Woodward. It revolved around an artist who is arrested for the murder of his wife whom he had thrown off in a moment of frustrated rage when she distracts him from his painting and stormed out of the house. When he returns, she is dead and her sister, Bindu's testimony convicts him of the crime. He manages to break free from the hospital where he is being psychologically evaluated and breaks into the house of a rich woman only to find himself implicated in the murder of her husband.
Meanwhile Sid has also given his nod to Mohit Suri's 'Aashiqui 3'.
One must say that the actor has some really exciting projects coming up!
