Looks like Sonakshi Sinha is all set to try some unconventional roles. Besides playing a RAW agent in the John Abraham starrer 'Force 2' buzz is that the 'Dabangg' girl has been finalized to play Haseena in a biopic based on Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar. The film titled 'Haseena- The Queen Of Mumbai' will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Mubina Rattonsey.
Sonakshi confirmed the news and said to a leading daily, "It's a great script, a powerful role, a very intriguing story and an opportunity to play a character who is the polar opposite of me. I have always wanted to be a part of a biopic and this is the perfect one. It's going to be extremely challenging for me and I am looking forward to it."
Further Apoorva added, "Haseena aapa was a very complex personality. I have just picked up the threads of her journey and knitted together the tapestry of her life. I was approached by Sameer Antulay with the idea and Mubina, Sonakshi and I are all set to bring her story alive.''
The film will go on-floors next year. It will capture 40 years of Haseena's life and is the emotional saga of a woman and what it meant to be Dawood Ibrahim's sister.
