Every time we speak about Shah Rukh Khan's marvelous performances, one name that comes in our minds is the Mani Ratnam directed film 'Dil Se..' where he did play a romantic hero, but with a different style and panache.
And somewhere in between Manisha Koirala’s terrific performance, and Preity Zinta’s bubbly looks and dimpled cheeks, we all fell in love with the song Chaiyya Chaiyya. The song broke barriers and became an iconic one since it was the first time Indian audience saw an actor dance on top of a moving train with such grace and without being fearful about the consequences.
Well, choreographer Farah Khan still recalls the making of the song and spoke about how energetic and enthusiastic SRK was and was even ready to shoot on top of the engine room before he was pointed out that it might burn him!
And looks like the energy and enthusiasm for the song sung by Sukhwinder Singh, composed by A.R. Rahman and penned by Gulzar, still hasn’t gotten away from the King! He posted a video on Twitter swinging his head to the tunes of the song and thanking the cast and crew of the team on the occasion of 17 Years of the movie:
For this video, and for every such performance he has given so far…we love you SRK… ‘Dil Se..’!
