Sudha Shivpuri, more popularly known as 'Baa' from Ekta Kapoor's longest running saga 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' passed away on Wednesday morning.
As per reports, Sudha was keeping unwell since 2013. The actor had suffered a stroke on Dec 2, 2013, which affected her basic motor skills. She stayed at the hospital for almost six months after the stroke.
She made her film debut with Basu Chatterjee's 'Swami' in 1977. She also worked in several known films including 'Insaaf Ka Tarazu', 'Hamari Bahu Alka', 'The Burning Train', 'Vidhaata' and 'Maya Memsaab'.
She started her TV career with serials like 'Aa Bail Mujhe Maar', 'Rajni', 'Missing', 'Rishtey', 'Sarhadein' and 'Bandhan'. However, it was Ekta Kapoor's 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' in 2000, that made her a popular household name.
The veteran actress is survived by a daughter and a son.
