The much hyped Arjun Kapoor-Sonakshi Sinha-Manoj Bajpayee starrer 'Tevar' has failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. The film, directed by debutant Amit Sharma and produced by Boney and Sanjay Kapoor, was released in around 2800-3000 screens.
It was the year's first big release and expectations were high. The movie gained about 8 crores on Sunday, which was the highest among the first three days. The three-day total is in the region of 21-22 crores, a low figure considering the high screen count.
With a mixed response from critics and public alike, it remains to be seen if the movie does manage to revive its fortunes in the coming days.
