Actor Varun Dhawan, who is busy promoting his upcoming flick ‘Badlapur’, seems to be cautious to not involve himself in any controversy. The actor isn’t quite aware about the detailed AIB Roast controversy involving his friends and actors Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar.
In an interview during the ‘Badlapur’ promotions, when asked Varun what is his reaction on the entire controversy, the ‘Main Tera Hero’ actor stated, “Honestly when the Roast happened, I wasn't here. I was in Vegas shooting for ‘ABCD 2’. But as much as I know, the people who have seen it have had a great time watching it and enjoyed it. There has been a backlash which is fine, I mean if people don't like something they should express it and if people like something, they should also express it. As long as the norms and rules are in place I don't think anyone should bother anybody. I exactly don't know the matter. As far as I know, no one has been arrested for it. I think it is all cool at the moment.”
Quiz him how willing is he to be a part of such a Roast and Varun reveals, “No, anyone wouldn't want to get roasted. If it is for fun then it is a different thing. Right now at the moment, I don't think there is much time but I mean it seems like a fun thing what they did. But currently, we will have to see how these things are working because you don't want to do things which are hurting anyone's sentiments. Let's see how things go about. I am not too sure about the situation. I would like to read before commenting on this issue.”
Point taken Varun!
Meanwhile, Varun’s ‘Badlapur’ which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi and Divya Dutta in the lead is all set to release on February 20, 2015.
