Remo D'Souza's dance flick 'ABCD 2' starring Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhudheva hit the theatrical screens this Friday. Now, oh boy, this film has already taken the box office by storm.
Early reports suggest that it minted Rs.14.30 crores and is the highest first day opener of 2015. The dance film has beaten the year’s highest opening day record set by Akshay Kumar’s 'Gabbar is Back' which had reportedly collected Rs.13.05 crores on Day 1.
Despite of heavy rains, Remo's extravaganza received a tremendous response at the box office. People have highly appreciated the fresh pair of Varun-Shraddha, the dance genre and the franchise in question has clicked in the favour of the film.
ABCD 2' traces the journey of an Indian dance troupe, a motley assortment of boys and girls who come from the backstreets of a Mumbai suburb; their rise to fame, sudden downfall and then their heroic attempt to seek vindication by regaining their lost glory and pride.
